People who are involved in pornography live in a fantasy world, a world of deception and darkness. Our Father in Heaven created one man and one woman to be husband and wife and engage in intercourse between each other. Not by looking at photos of other people and fantasizing.
Pornography is sin, plain and simple and because of this hinders our relationship with Elohim (God). It robs us spiritually and the consequences of sin is death. We cannot live in the light when we are practicing sin.
Although it’s easy to rationalize our behavior, lustful thoughts are real sins. Because they are hidden, lustful thoughts typically do not receive attention and many don’t believe they are wrong. Some people think they haven’t hurt anyone so it might be okay. However, Yeshua the Messiah equates these thoughts with nothing less than fornication and adultery in Matthew 5:27. If we are using our imaginations to compel women to do things with us, then we are practicing something very wrong. Simply put, we sin.
Blind guides – straining out a gnat and swallowing a camel! Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are filled with plunder and unrighteousness. When we engage in the sin of pornography, we retrain our mind to think on those things and it cause us to pursue more of it. Our mind is not being trained in spiritual matters but rather in sin and we cannot walk in holiness and serve Elohim.
When you bring pornography into your life, your heart and your mind, your view of life and relationships will be distorted and will drastically distort the way you hear from Elohim and walk with Him on a daily basis.
Messiah told us to cleanse the inside of the cup. Even in areas of sin when we don’t hurt other people directly, we are training our mind in the ways of evil and our behavior and actions will inadvertently effect others whether we realize it or not. We are also opening a door for evil to enter our lives and HaSatan will take any opening he can get. You allow demons to enter your life and influence you are even worse possess you.
HaSatan is highly subtle and will use anything to gain a foot hold into your life. The moment you open a path for him to come in, he will not hesitate. And it is easier to let him in than to get him out. Once you have those photos embedded in your mind, your mind constantly recalls them and you are drawn back into that sin unless you repent and turn away.
Be angry, yet do not sin. Do not let the sun go down on your anger, nor give the devil a foothold. Ephesians 4:26,27
We find pornography in many places, Facebook ads, ads online everywhere. Surprised? Anytime an ad contains a revealing photo of a woman, it is considered pornography in scripture. We are supposed cover our body well. A woman revealing her breasts even though the nipples are covered is still pornography. Scriptural standards are far above worldly standards. Let’s not stoop to their level.
The Loin, or upper part of our body needs to be covered as well as the thighs. The thighs are considered the top part of our legs from the hips to the knees.
We see the priests in scripture having their bodies completely covered.
Also you are to make a plate of pure gold and engrave on it, like the engravings of a seal, ‘HOLY TO Adonai.’ Attach it with a violet cord onto the turban, on the front of the turban. So it will rest on Aaron’s forehead, so that Aaron will bear away the iniquity committed regarding the holy things, which Bnei-Yisrael set apart as all their holy gifts. It is to be always to be on his forehead, so that they may have favor before Adonai. You are to weave the tunic in checkered work of fine linen, make a turban of fine linen, and make a sash, the work of a color weaver. For Aaron’s sons you are to make tunics, sashes and headwear for them—for splendor and for beauty. Put them on Aaron your brother and on his sons with him, and anoint them, consecrate them, and sanctify them, so that they may minister to Me as kohanim. You are to make linen undergarments for them, to cover the skin of their nakedness, from the hips to the thighs. Exodus 28:36-42 TLV
How many of us have thought when we go swimming just covering our private parts is enough? Guys wearing shorts and Gals bikini’s. However, this is not the scriptural standard. We can be guilty ourselves of exhibiting our bodies without even realizing it because of what the standards this world adheres to. Let’s not stoop that low but raise the bar according to scripture!
When we cover our bodies well, we help prevent other people from stumbling. Revealing too much flesh can cause another person’s mind to wander in areas where it should not be.
Keep back from every form of wickedness. 1 Thessalonians 5:22
The mindset of this world has become overly liberal. I have seen this trend since I was a young boy. Observing the standards then compared to now I have seen a stark difference in the overall mindset of this world. We have to keep our eyes on Messiah so we remain unaffected by this world in everything.
If you have anything in your life right now that keeps you from walking on holiness, I urge you to repent and turn away. Only by repenting can we be truly forgiven. Let’s change our habits to walk in newness of life.
I call upon you, therefore, brothers, through the compassion of Elohim, to present your bodies a living offering – set-apart, well-pleasing to Elohim – your reasonable worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you prove what is that good and well-pleasing and perfect desire of Elohim. Rom 12:1,2 TS2009
