The origins of Christmas can be traced back to the ancient Roman and Norse civilizations. In fact, December 25 was not even the date for the birth of Yeshua. Additionally, Messiah did not teach us to celebrate his birth but rather to show his death until he comes. The early congregation did not celebrate the day of their birth. However, sometime later people appropriated what was originally a pagan holiday because it was convenient. Before that, the people of ancient Europe had celebrations of the pagan god Saturn or even Odin at the end of December to mark the shortest day of the year. Indeed, many of the Christmas traditions we have today come from these ancient festivals. Saturnalia was the early tradition that Christmas came out of.

Messiah is holy and would not do something that is in diametric opposition to the truth of Elohim. The highest of all holidays in the Satanic religion is the date of one’s own birth. Messiah would never promote this and his true followers do not celebrate their own birth. In fact in the early congregation they did not celebrate the day of their birth.

The Satanist feels: “Why not really be honest and if you are going to create a god in your image, why not create that god as yourself.”

For those of us who are in Messiah we are actually busy crucifying this flesh. This life is not about us but rather about serving Elohim. If we are serving ourselves then we are in direct disobedience to our heavenly Father even though many who celebrate birthdays still claim to love him. This is a great deception in our time that many don’t realize.

Saturnalia, held in mid-December, is an ancient Roman pagan festival honoring the agricultural god Saturn. Because of when the holiday occurred—near the winter solstice—Saturnalia celebrations are the source of many of the traditions we now associate with Christmas, such as wreaths, candles, feasting and gift-giving.

Saturnalia, the most popular holiday on the ancient Roman calendar, derived from older farming-related rituals of midwinter and the winter solstice, especially the practice of offering gifts or sacrifices to the gods during the winter sowing season.

These practices are contrary to the word of Elohim. People fall for many lies such as Christmas and one of the hardest things for people to do is to break away from tradition. Especially when that tradition gives them good feelings. But good feelings don’t tend to life nor does it save us. In fact crucifying the flesh and repenting is the first step in obtaining eternal life. We are told that if we lay down our life we will gain it, but if we seek to save our life we will lose it. Scripture is spiritually discerned. This is why many people who are still carnal will practice Christmas and think they are doing right. They are actually believing a lie and don’t even know it.

The early motive for celebrating Yeshua’s birth on December 25 may have been akin to that which inspires modern churches to hold “fall festivals” or “Bible costume parties” on October 31. That is, Christians desire to provide a spiritually positive alternative to what they perceive as a pagan celebration. Over time, as the Roman Empire was Christianized, customs associated with Saturnalia were “cleaned up” and absorbed into the celebration of Christmas.

Elohim hates compromise. Christmas is a compromise between scripture and paganism. Constantine, the Roman emperor established this compromise between paganism and scripture which is in diametric opposition to the word of Elohim. When we celebrate Christmas we are being disobedient to Elohim and have rejected his ways. We are in fact serving the devil although many don’t realize it.

Another Roman (Catholic) holiday, Sol Invictus, seems to have been gradually absorbed by Christmas as well. Sol Invictus (“Invincible Sun”) celebrated, on December 25, the renewing of the Sun King and was linked to the winter solstice (although the solstice itself never falls on December 25). Constantine, the first Roman emperor, was raised in this cult of the Unconquered Sun God.

Constantine, being the politician he was, decided to change the pagan Roman holiday Saturnalia to Christmas to impress the Christians (Catholics). Saturnalia was a day when the Romans celebrated their god Saturn whom they believed ruled the world and was also described as the god of agriculture. This explains the exchange of greenery and other farm goods. As a matter of fact, most of the Christmas rituals done today are a carbon copy of how Saturnalia was celebrated. Exchange of gifts, singing, merry making, decorating of trees etc.

Saturnalia was usually celebrated from December 17 of the Julian calendar and went on up to December 25. So Constantine decided to turn this pagan holiday to Christmas to celebrate the birthday of Yeshua (Jesus). However, the exact date of the birth of Yeshua is not known and has been a topic for debate for many years. How Constantine established that date to be the birthday of Yeshua I don’t know, but we do know that it was the birthday of Nimrod and many of these ancient practices came out of ancient Babylon. Understand that it was imperative for Constantine to do what he did to win the hearts of the already growing numbers of Christians (Catholics) in his jurisdiction.

Scripture tells us not to celebrate pagan practices such as Christmas. Now, that word wasn’t around at the time, it was practiced under a different name that Christmas came out of.

Hear the word that Adonai speaks to you, house of Israel, Thus says Adonai: “Do not learn the way of the nations or be frightened by signs of the heavens—though the nations are terrified by them. The customs of the peoples are useless: it is just a tree cut from the forest, the work of the hands of a craftsman with a chisel. They decorate it with silver and gold, and fasten it with hammer and nails so it won’t totter. Like a scarecrow in a cucumber garden, their idols cannot speak. They must be carried because they cannot walk! Do not fear them for they can do no harm—nor do any good.”
Jeremiah 10:1-5 TLV

It’s your choice if you want to follow the ways of this world which we know will cause us to lose our life. Or you can choose eternal life by denouncing the ways of the world.

Then Yeshua said to His disciples, “If anyone wants to follow after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world but forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
Matthew 16:24-26 TLV

It’s your choice, turn away from this world, repent of everything that is contrary to the word of Elohim. Believe in Yeshua that he is the Messiah and receive eternal life by faith. The only way to our Heavenly Father is through his son Yeshua.
