I have been hearing of young women who get pregnant and want to abort their baby. The thinking in our world is that it isn’t a person until they are born. However, this is far from the truth. They begin as a human being at the time of conception.
When you are pregnant, you are not going to have a child, you already have one. You are not going to be a mother, you already are a mother. That child in your womb is a person, a living, breathing human being that Elohim (God) created.
When we decide to kill a baby that is inside the womb, just because man’s law allows it, we are still violating Elohim’s law and it is considered murder.
There are times when a young mother wants to kill her unborn child because she is not in a situation to provide for that child. But murder should never be an option. Putting the child up for adoption would be the way to go. If you love your child, at least give your baby a chance to live.
Consider this story I ran across awhile back:
A worried woman went to her gynecologist and said: ‘Doctor, I have a serious problem and desperately need your help! My baby is not even 1 year old and I’m pregnant again. I don’t want kids so close together. So the doctor said: ‘Ok and what do you want me to do?’ … She said: ‘I want you to end my pregnancy, and I’m counting on your help with this.’
The doctor thought for a little, and after some silence he said to the lady: ‘I think I have a better solution for your problem. It’s less dangerous for you too.’ She smiled, thinking that the doctor was going to accept her request. Then he continued: ‘You see, in order for you not to have to take care 2 babies at the same time, let’s kill the one in your arms. This way, you could rest some before the other one is born. If we’re going to kill one of them, it doesn’t matter which one it is. There would be no risk for your body if you chose the one in your arms.
The lady was horrified and said: ‘No doctor! How terrible! It’s a crime to kill a child! ‘I agree’, the doctor replied. ‘But you seemed to be OK with it, so I thought maybe that was the best solution.’ The doctor smiled, realizing that he had made his point. He convinced the mom that there is no difference in killing a child that’s already been born and one that’s still in the womb. The crime is the same!
I think that many women get hasty and don’t consider all the options when they are afraid to give birth to their baby. But abortion is not the way and there are other options. I have a niece who is unable to take care of her baby and so my sister took custody. Because my sister is older like me she set it up where my oldest daughter can take custody so the baby stays in the family and my niece can see her baby from time to time. Abortion is still murder no matter how we look at it. Please give your child a chance at life if you are unable to take care of them. There are people out there who will take care of your baby.
